What We Believe

  1. SanctuaryWe believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testament as verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings and preserved by God. That it is of supreme and final authority in faith, life and practice. We believe in and only use the King James Bible. Matthew 5:18; Luke 24: 44,45; 2 Timothy 3:16; I Peter 1:23-25
  2. We believe in one God, eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, manifesting Himself in three Persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – one in nature, attributes, power and glory. Psalm 2:12; Isaiah 45:1 8, 46:9,10; John 14:9; Acts 5:3,4
  3. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and that He is true God and true man. Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-35
  4. We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death which is separation from God and that all human beings are born with a sinful, nature, and are sinners in thought, word and deed. Genesis 1:26; Romans 3:10,23; Romans 5:12
  5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and rose again for our justification, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood and are saved by grace through faith wholly apart from human merit and works. Romans 4:25; I Corinthians 15:1-4; Ephesians 2:8,9
  6. We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus are born again by the Holy Spirit through the Word of God, and thereby become the children of God, possessing eternal divine life. We believe that a born again person is eternally secure and will never be brought into condemnation for sins. John 3:3-8, 5:24, 10:28-30; Galatians 3:26; I John 5:13
  7. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person – the Administrator of the Godhead – convicting of sin, revealing Christ, teaching truth, restraining evil, energizing believers in prayer, worship and service, and is ever present in the believer as Comforter and Helper. John 14:26, 16:7; Acts 5:3,4
  8. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, His ascension into heaven, His present life there as our High Priest and Advocate; and His personal, bodily, visible, premillennial return to establish His kingdom on earth and to reign as the Only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords. Luke 24:4-6; Acts 1:9-11; I Corinthians 15; Revelation 19:1 1-16
  9. We believe that at any moment the pretribulational rapture of the saved may occur, when “The Lord shall descend from heaven” to catch up his people to meet Him in the air, and “so shall we ever be with the Lord.” I Corinthians 15:51-53; I Thessalonians 4:13-17
  10. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead – the saved to a life of eternal glory and bliss in heaven with God; the unsaved to eternal judgment of conscious and woe in the lake of fire. John 3:28,29; Revelation 20:1 1-15
  11. We believe in separation from all worldly practice and in wholehearted devotion to the cause of Christ as the only scriptural basis for a happy and useful Christian life. For this reason we oppose all practices which detract from a Christian life or would cause another believer to stumble or be offended. Romans 12:1,2, 14:13,19; 1 Corinthians 8:9,13
  12. We believe that it is the privilege and responsibility of every believer to be a personal soul winner and to  do their utmost to give the Gospel of Christ to the whole world. Proverbs 11:30; John 15:8; Acts 1:8
